Ellen Andel was born and raised in Palm Beach County. She received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Princeton University. She is President of Ellen Andel Custom Homes and has over 30 years of experience in custom home construction.

Very committed to the community and to helping others, Ellen has served as Vice Mayor and Council Member of the Town of Juno Beach. In 2017, she was a nominee for the Women in Leadership Award from Executive Women of the Palm Beaches. In addition to serving on the board of WVRF, Ellen also serves as a Trustee of Palm Health Foundation. She has previously served as Regional Chairperson of the Princeton Alumni Schools Committee, a member of Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, and on the boards of Suncoast High School Foundation, All Saints Catholic School, and Jupiter-Tequesta Athletic Association.

Ellen is a very proud mother of two daughters, one a graduate of West Point and a Captain in the United States Army, and one a recent graduate of Florida State University starting a career as a data scientist.
