JIM BROWN, Former 2nd Class Petty Officer (SH2) U.S. Navy.  Enlisted in the Navy delayed entry program in October of 1974.  Upon completion of boot camp and ships serviceman’s “A” school, Jim was assigned to the air craft carrier USS America CV66, out of Norfolk, Virginia.  In the Spring of 1977, Jim entered navy dive school and upon completion earned his 2nd class dive rating.  He completed multiple dive assignments and training throughout his career until his honorable discharge in 1981.  Jim is currently a 33 year member of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and is assigned to the Judicial Protective Services Unit of the 15th Judicial Circuit Court. Jim and his beautiful wife, Cheryl, have been married for 21 years.  He joined WVRF in 2009.
