Lt. Gen. Robert Chelberg, USA (Ret.)

ROBERT CHELBERG, Lieutenant General, US Army (Ret), graduated from West Point and served in the Army for 32 years including two tours in Vietnam in artillery units. General Chelberg also commanded artillery units in the US, Germany, and Turkey. In the Pentagon, he served on the Army staff, and as Deputy Director for Military Personnel Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. For three years he was the defense planner for NATO. General Chelberg’s last assignment was Chief of Staff for the U.S. European Command. Since retirement he has worked for Cubic Applications and Northrop Grumman in Europe. He is in the Business School Hall of Fame at NMSU. He joined WVRF in 2012.
