We put veterans first by assisting with immediate financial needs while maintaining a high level of respect for their privacy. Our program relies exclusively on referrals sent by our Veteran Administration Medical Center network to provide support in two ways: 1.) case-based crisis intervention, assisting with emergency-specific needs, and 2.) through pre-paid Visa debit cards (worth $50) distributed by VA caseworkers at their discretion in support of essential needs.
Florida Veterans financial support is provided for immediate, emergency relief. Basic needs supported include food, gas, rent and utility payments, transportation, wheelchair lifts, moving expenses, temporary or transitional housing, transportation so a veteran can visit an ailing relative…and more.
Veterans must be referred by a A caseworker after completing a vetting process. Post-9/11 service – connected veterans who are 50% or more disabled can contact us directly after we receive information from the referring Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Center. Once we have documentation in hand, we will attempt to intervene and assist with their bills within 48 hours.
Short-term veterans assistance services:
Through immediate, temporary financial crisis intervention we can help ease the burden of financial distress for post-9/11 disabled veterans and their families.
Long-term veterans assistance services:
Our support does not end there. To help veterans in the post-deployment transition we work to refer and connect veterans to those in our veteran vendor network. Here they can find connections for job training and other services needed. All areas working together contributing to a productive, meaningful transition back into society.
