WVRF Chairman & President Selected for Induction into the U.S. Army OCS Hall of Fame

The hallowed corridors of the National Infantry Museum house the world-renowned U.S. Army Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame, established to honor OCS graduates who have excelled in military or civilian careers and brought great credit to the OCS program.

Medal of Honor recipients and General Officers receive automatic induction, while other distinguished candidates are selected based on exceptional service. Such luminaries as William F. Buckley, General Tommy Franks, U.S. Senator Robert Dole, and Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger have preceded the most recent inductees.

Induction into the OCS Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors an Army officer can receive. It reflects a career defined by exceptional leadership, integrity, and service to the nation—recognition reserved for only a select few.

Because of his exemplary service—which includes three combat deployments, serving as Military Aide to the President of the United States, and a Presidential appointment as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce—Russell J. Cancilla has been selected for induction into the OCS Hall of Fame.

Russ brings this same dedication to his role as Chairman and President of the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund. Under his leadership, WVRF has expanded its statewide impact and strengthened programs that serve thousands of Florida’s wounded and disabled veterans each year. His mission-focused guidance continues to inspire our team and shape the organization’s success.

Please join us in congratulating Russ, and his wife, Loretta, on this well-deserved and remarkable honor.
